At Penn State alone, there are approximately 300 College of Education alumni working in various capacities across multiple campuses, colleges and administrative units. Penn State Berks students Jess Rozick and Brianna Smith received more honors for their phenomenal performances in the 2019 softball season by earning spots on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association teams. Rozick was selected to the second team and Smith was named to the third team.
Cheryl Nicholas, associate professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Berks, was recently appointed to the Penn State President’s Commissions for Equity. She will serve as co-chair for the Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Equity for Penn State, along with Brian J. Patchcoski, director of the LGBTQA Student Resource Center.
Penn State Berks' Organizational Leadership degree is a 123-credit degree program developed specifically for adult learners (age 24 and older) who are interested in pursuing a well-rounded, liberal arts education with a focus on complex social cultural, and organizational issues.
Toby Welk was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft. Welk was the second Division III player to be taken in the 2019 draft.
