Cohen, longtime campus supporter, passes away at 95

Penn State alumnus Irvin Cohen, 95, of Reading, passed away on Jan. 9, in his home surrounded by family. Irvin, known as “Irv” to all, is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lois. Both Irv and Lois Cohen have been long-time friends and supporters of Penn State Berks and the University.

Penn State Bookstore awards final round of grants

The Penn State Bookstore, which is operated by Barnes & Noble College, has awarded its fifth round of grants to support a range of programs and initiatives throughout the University. Launched in the 2015-16 academic year, the grant program began through a $1.25 million commitment to Penn State to help advance the University’s most pressing priorities.

Berks 60th Gala raises over $120K for scholarship

As part of the college’s 60th anniversary, Berks held a gala celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Reading. The event raised over $60,000 to establish the Penn State Berks 60th Anniversary Scholarship.
