The Learning Center offers in-person peer tutoring in 159 Franco Building.

Summer tutoring is not offered through the Learning Center at Penn State Berks. As a reminder, summer classes are accelerated and condensed; please register for classes knowing that you will need to use faculty office hours for additional academic support.

We encourage all students to take responsibility when creating course schedules each semester.

Dr. Ryan Hassler, professional math tutor, will be available for walk-in sessions for spring 2024. Dr. Hassler's walk-in hours for statistics and math through 141:

  • Monday, Noon to 3:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Peer tutoring begins the second week of each semester, and you can schedule an appointment online to meet with a peer tutor in person. If you have any problems or questions, stop by or contact the office at 610-396-6288 or [email protected] for assistance.

What if the Learning Center does not offer tutoring for the class that I need?

If the Learning Center doesn't offer tutoring services for the course in which you need support, see your instructor before or after class or during their office hours for additional assistance. You are also encouraged to form a study group with others in your class.

Sometimes, however, your struggle may not be content related, but with one or more of the following issues:

  • Study skills
  • Time management
  • Reading
  • Note taking
  • Test anxiety
  • Stress

If you feel you may need support in any of the above, please make an appointment to see Sonia Delaquito, learning center coordinator, at [email protected].
